Welcome to ComfortandLoss.com

Comfort and Loss was founded by Earl D. Erickson. It is an internet business he owns and manages from his home. He created this website to comfort people from their loss of their loved ones. He offers wellness from grief by his resource material and referrals. Also, offered is pregnancy loss support, support from the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy. And in addition to all the above, help is offered to those who grieve from a pet loss, offering free online pet memorials.

Comfort and Loss, also, sells merchandise, such as, self-help books, DVDs, videos and movies, CDs, jewelry, flowers, sympathy cards, candy and other gifts relating to grief, comfort and loss.

Mr. Erickson is well acquainted with grief. The first tragedy was the suicide death of his oldest brother in 1975. He has witnessed the passing of five members of his immediate family within eight years. Two of these deaths in his family were very heart-wrenching. He lost his wife, who died courageously battling bladder cancer for sixteen long months. She passed away in 2001. And he lost his other older brother to alcoholism and cirrhosis of the liver, in 2005. He drank himself to death.

He admits the other loved ones who died were a little easier to handle. His mother died in 1997, of pneumonia, at the age of eighty-eight. She also had dementia. His aunt died in 1999, at the grand old age of one hundred, two-and-a-half. Then it was his uncle, he died in 2004, at the age of one hundred and one. And through the years, he has had many friends that died from drug overdoses, suicides and from drowning.

Mr. Erickson offers his own stories of how he has dealt with the pain of grief and his own losses. He admits it hasn’t been easy. Visitors on his website can easily read the articles he has written about grief and loss.

His love of writing inspirational stories bring him happiness and therapy for his own recovery. He hopes his stories help his readers identify their similar struggles in life. His wishes are to offer sympathy and awareness and hope for a brighter day. “Losing a loved one for any reason is very unique. People grieve in so many different ways. There is no simple way to move on with your life without grief and comfort,” he says.

Mr. Erickson is an internet author. He contributes his stories for Ezine Articles to publish on the internet. Their website is www.ezinearticles.com. His stories can be read by scrolling down the left hand side of their homepage, then by logging in his name Earl Erickson (no middle initial) and search under expert authors, it will bring up his stories.

He is currently writing a book on his turbulent life and his struggles with alcoholism and recovery, drug addiction, depression, suicide, anger and grief of the loved ones he has lost. His book is entitled, Abstinence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder. He hopes to be finished with that project early next year.
